Antiretroviral Drugs Dramatically Reduce Risk of Contracting HIV in Gay Men

A recent groundbreaking new clinical trial in the field of HIV prevention has shown that high-risk MSM taking a combination of two antiretroviral drugs were 44 percent less likely to get infected with HIV than an equal number in the placebo arm of the trial.

Major Advance in HIV Vaccine Research

For decades, researchers have sought a breakthrough in the HIV vaccine research field, but major discoveries had been elusive. Recently, U.S. researchers have discovered three potent antibodies, one of which neutralizes 91% of strains of HIV. Scientists will build on this research to discover the implications of this novel research.
